A Western Slope Autumn
Autumn is one of my absolute favorite times of year on Colorado’s wild and rugged Western Slope. The land is folded into in a deep bowl full of precious stones – tumbled with junipers and sagebrush among leaves of ruby, bronze and gold under sparkling, sapphire skies. This painting captures this experience via metallic, acrylic paints on linen-textured paper. It is 14″x14″ and framed in a 19″x19″ black frame.
Because Western Colorado is comprised of mountain, forest and desert landscapes, hints of the American Southwest are also apparent in this work. When you scroll through these photos, you’ll notice my friend Chaucy’s little dog, Bob. I finished this painting at Bob’s house (studio and home of www.chaucypottery.com), and Bob supervised!
This painting currently hangs at my gallery in Paonia. Call/text 512-963-4892 or email email@example.com for more photos or to set up an appointment to see it in person.
